Highlights

  • Nanyuki → Forest Edge Camp (or similar). A gentle walk-in through the forest.
  • Forest Edge → Burguret Camp. A tougher day trekking deeper into the wilderness, crossing streams and muddy terrain.
  • Burguret Camp → Upper Burguret Camp → Road Head Camp. Ascending out of the forest into the high moorland with stunning views.
  • Road Head Camp → Shiptons Camp (4,300m). A high-altitude trek across the Mackinder Valley to acclimatize.
  • Summit Day! Pre-dawn ascent to Point Lenana (4,985m) for sunrise, then descend to Old Moses Camp or directly out.
  • Exit to Park Gate and transfer back to Nanyuki/Nairobi.
