Our third successfully completed Bush Escapes Safaris journey took us to this remarkable ecosystem in southern Kenya. Our successful safari was planned around the qualities that make Amboseli distinctive. Instead of treating the park as a generic wildlife stop, the itinerary allowed time for elephants, wetlands, landscapes and the changing light around Kilimanjaro.
The road journey from Nairobi was carefully coordinated with departure time, comfort stops, meals and the first game-viewing opportunity. For travellers who prefer to reduce road time, scheduled or charter flights may also be considered, depending on the itinerary and accommodation.
Within the park, flexibility remained essential. Wildlife movement, weather and road conditions change constantly. The guide responded to the landscape rather than forcing the experience into a rigid programme.

Amboseli can also provide magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro, although cloud and weather may hide the summit. Early mornings and late afternoons often offer good possibilities, but visibility is never guaranteed.
Observation Hill adds another perspective. Its elevated viewpoint helps visitors understand how marsh, plain and mountain landscape connect, making it a valuable stop for wide views and photography.
